FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 23, 2014
Clearwater is pleased to announce that it has established a Corporate Membership with Randive, Inc. of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Founded by Randor Erlandson in 1959, Randive is dedicated primarily to the needs of the maritime industry in the Port of New York and New Jersey and specializes in underwater ship repair, maintenance, inspections and all aspects of commercial diving.
“Clearwater is proud to welcome Randive as its newest Corporate Member,” said Peter Gross, Clearwater Executive Director. “In addition to supporting the organization as a Corporate Member, Randive provided a hull inspection for the sloop Clearwater as part of readying her for the sailing season. The traditionally-rigged tall ship provides environmental education to the students of the Hudson Valley and New York City, averaging over 12,000 students sailing with us per year, and it is important to maintain the highest safety standards. Randive has helped to ensure that level of safety.”
“Randive is honored to be part of an organization such as Clearwater, which helps today’s youth become tomorrow’s environmental stewards of our waterways,” said Kurt Erlandson, Randive President and CEO.
Certified by all of the major Class Societies, Randive is also a member of the Association of Diving Contractors International, Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey, Maritime Exchange of the Delaware River & Bay, Connecticut Maritime Association, The Society of Marine Port Engineers of New York and the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.
Over the last six decades, Randive has expanded its clientele base to include the largest shipping companies in the world and most of the marine related companies along the East Coast. The company has grown to now boast a staff of 16 full-time dive team members and office personnel on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist clients and provide quality diving services.
