Join us for a Clearwater Winter Volunteer Training Session & Workshop focused on Arts, Literature, and Boat Skills! Come meet the crew and educators and learn about new and exciting additions to our education program.
In the second part of the workshop, get an overview of traditional boat building and maintenance skills. If you have never volunteered before, but are interested, this is a great time to come and experience the activities that we provide for our onboard students. You will also have an opportunity to try your hand at practicing wooden boat craftsmanship.
For longtime volunteers, this is a great opportunity to connect with the crew, see old friends, learn a new education station, and share teaching strategies and techniques. We hope you will sign up as a sloop volunteer and then stay for the Winter Open Boat potluck and jam session!
Clearwater depends upon our volunteers to help teach over 15,000 students on the Hudson River every year and are proud to offer this free enrichment opportunity. Please note that this workshop is NOT a prerequisite for volunteering onboard the sloop Clearwater.
