Jon Bowermaster’s short film, “The Hudson: A River at Risk,” will be screened at the Ossining Public Library’s Budarz Theatre, on Thursday, October 22. Seating starts at 6:00PM and the showing begins promptly at 6:30PM.
“The Hudson: A River at Risk,” is three short films running less than half-hour in total that chronicle issues currently affecting our Hudson River:
- crude oil rail transport
- construction of the new Tappan Zee Bridge
- the aging Indian Point nuclear plant
A panel discussion and Q & A session on the issues will follow the screening. Clearwater’s environmental action director, Manna Jo Greene; Hudson Riverkeeper’s president, Paul Gallay; and Scenic Hudson’s director of conservation science, Dr. Sacha Spector; along with State Sen. David Carlucci (38th Disttrict).
