Public invited to visit the sloop in Saugerties and join in community potlucks
The sloop Clearwater, America’s environmental flagship, will host Open Boat Family Days at her winter home at Lynch’s Marina in Saugerties, NY on January 15th, February 12th and March 12th. Festivities will begin at 12:00 noon and wrap up by 6:00 pm.
People are invited to bring a dish to share and musical instruments to play. Friends and families are welcome to come check out the boat, meet the winter crew and cozy up in the shop to share stories and songs. Enjoy food, drink and activities for the kids along with live music.
Clearwater’s own young, but road-tested, Power of Song Apprentice group will kick off the festivities on January 15, followed by traditional Irish music with the duo, Lawson Trad on February 12. On March 12, Rich Hines and the Hillbilly Drifters will liven up the event with a rockin’ roots & bluegrass combo.
