In August, Governor Hochul signed the Save the Hudson bill, which makes it illegal to dump the radioactive waste produced from Indian Point into the Hudson River. This was a huge victory — but what happens now with that waste and what can we do to make sure it doesn’t end up in our air or water?

Join us on Monday, November 20th, for a forum on how to keep Indian Point’s radioactive waste from getting into our air and water.

This forum will give you an update on where we are now and will feature decommissioning expert Arnie Gundersen, Chief Engineer at Fairewinds Associates, who suggests one way to keep Indian Point’s radioactive safe and on-site. For background, see Arnie Gundersen’s video here: https://tinyurl.com/SafeOnsiteStorage

Our grassroots movement successfully pressured Governor Hochul to protect our river from toxic dumping. Now we’ll need to again raise our voices to ensure none of this waste is released into New York’s air or water and that we move forward with the safe decommissioning of the Indian Point plant.
