Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is pleased to welcome Amber Stewart as Communications Coordinator to carry forward its messaging and mission to protect the Hudson River. Stewart enters the organization with a strong background in both non-profit and freelance marketing. She previously worked as the Marketing Administrator and then Partnerships Manager for Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and currently maintains a freelance marketing management agenda in her spare time. She is also a 2019 graduate of CUNY Hunter College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
As Communications Coordinator, Stewart will be responsible for much of the overall planning and execution of Clearwater’s communicative efforts, as well as fielding and coordinating all media, website, and social media inquiries. Her work will be instrumental in streamlining all communications efforts and in maintaining a channel which will be accessible to all those who are interested in Clearwater’s mission work.
Amber hopes to use her combined knowledge and experience to expand Clearwater’s footprint by engaging a younger audience, expanding on the relationship between Clearwater and its loyal constituents, and reinforcing the importance of Clearwater’s presence in its community. She is excited to, quite literally, jump on board.
In her spare time, Amber can be found working towards her year-end reading goal (she is currently on book 30/40, for the record), going for long walks in her neighborhood, and catching up on her favorite shows!
