On December 12, EPA is hosting a long-awaited Informational Meeting and Community Conversation from 6:30pm-8:30pm in Newburgh at Orange County Community College (Kaplan Hall Great Room, One Washington Center, Newburgh, NY 12550). EPA will discuss ongoing efforts to study and address polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, in the Hudson River. The meeting will also provide important information about New York State’s health advisories for eating fish.

This is an important opportunity to raise concerns about current PCB levels in the Hudson, the ongoing risks of fish consumption, the need for a comprehensive study of who’s fishing in the river, and continued expansion and improvement of fish consumption advisory outreach.
