Clearwater is pleased to announce that Re>Think Local of Beacon, NY has joined as a Corporate Member. Re>Think Local is a nonprofit collaborative of locally-owned independent businesses, artists, farmers, and nonprofits working to co-create a better Hudson Valley that is vibrant, sustainable, locally-rooted, with equal concern for people, planet, and prosperity, where individuals and businesses work together to drive the transition to a greener, sustainable economic model.

Re>Think Local is also part of a global movement to build a positive alternative to the outdated Wall Street-driven economic system that is failing our communities. It is called “localism”, and this international movement is promoting new and inventive ways to build healthy and sustainable communities with local economies that are strong and resilient.

Clearwater is honored to have Re>Think Local as a Corporate Member; their vision for connecting people and values to build a community of mutual support and collaboration is in close alignment with Clearwater’s grassroots model of encouraging individual involvement to promote a better economy, ecology, and quality of life for the Hudson Valley.

Re>Think Local is very pleased to be partnering with Clearwater,” said Executive Director, Ajax Greene. “So many of today’s most pressing environmental challenges can be solved by moving our economy in a more local and sustainable direction. Together we can make the shift necessary for a healthy environment and a healthy economy.”

Re>Think Local is located at 291 Main Street in Beacon, NY. For more information about Re>Think Local, visit www.rethinklocal.org.

Clearwater Corporate Membership is a community made up of select group of small and large businesses that share a vision and passion for the Hudson River, and are key to the organization’s success, providing much needed funding for programs. Corporate Members also help in other ways, such as providing materials for our vessel and other in-kind donations. Corporate Members help Hudson River Sloop Clearwater keep costs down in order to deliver our many quality programs to the community.

Corporate Membership offers businesses the opportunity to develop a customized sponsorship program that meets the needs of a company, which can include community outreach programs, on-site presence at Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival, educational programs, team building, corporate volunteer days and more!
