Creek Week takes place July 13-20 in Poughkeepsie with free events offered to the community. The week-long event aims to raise awareness about local tributaries, waterways and creeks, as well as the Mighty Hudson River.

- Walking History Tour with Harvey Flad

Meet at the Family Partnership Center, 29 North Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie, NY … Flad is a local author and historian, and author of, “Main Street to Mainframes”. Participants will walk along the Fall Kill Creek and learn about early industry, mill ponds, cholera, and the many ways the creek helped shape the City of Poughkeepsie. The event is free and participants are asked to meet in front of the Family Partnership Center, North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie to join the walk. The event is free to the public.
- Storm Drain Marking and Litter Survey with Joe Chenier

City of Poughkeepsie, NY … Join City of Poughkeepsie Assistant City Engineer Joe Chenier for Storm Drain Marking, Litter Survey, and Stormwater Talk for a morning of service learning, and help mark storm drains, collect litter, and learn about how the City is managing stormwater. Participants are to meet at the traffic circle at Waryas Park, Main St., Poughkeepsie. This event is free to the public.
