Community is invited to see the new Kingston Home Port and join in festivities

The public is invited to join Clearwater, America’s environmental flagship, for the last of three 2013 Winter Open Boat Days taking place this Saturday, March 16, 4:00-8:00 PM at the newly constructed  Kingston Home Port and Education Center located at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, 50 Rondout Landing, in Kingston, NY.

Attendees can tour the recently completed Kingston Home Port and Education Center, meet the crew and Clearwater staff, learn about sloop restoration and repairs now underway, and cozy up for refreshments, stories, and live music. Music will be provided by Rich Hines and the Hillbilly Drifters. Guests are asked to bring a favorite dish to share at the potluck.

What: Winter Open Boat Day with home port tours, sloop construction site tours, music, refreshments, fun and festivities.

Winter Open Boat Days are free and open to the public. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share and can RSVP to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/winteropenboat, however, reservations are not required. Donations are appreciated.
