Support Our Historic Environmental Justice Contention on Indian Point Support Clearwater’s Intervenor Petition before the Atomic Safety Licensing Board to ensure a thorough assessment of Environmental Justice issues and other impacts related to the proposed In July, Clearwater broke new ground when the Atomic Safety Licensing Board accepted our Environmental Justice (EJ) contention for a hearing—the first EJ contention ever to be heard in a nuclear relicensing proceeding—along with our contention calling for a rigorous assessment of the radioactive leaks. Now we must raise $50,000 immediately to cover legal fees. The Indian Point relicensing review is at a critical stage. Clearwater has worked very hard to get to this point but we can’t move this project forward unless we raise the funds needed to hire experienced legal counsel to represent us.
