Clearwater’s Tideline Discovery Program is the premier outdoor environmental education program along the Hudson’s shores. It operates at Esopus Meadows Environmental Center, just south of Kingston, NY. We meet the needs of many local Hudson Valley school districts by offering an affordable field trip at a truly remarkable facility. TIDELINE DISCOVERY PROGRAM [grades K to 12] The Premier Onshore Education Program Tideline Discovery Program is a two-part experience, consisting of an introductory classroom visit by a Clearwater educator, and a full day field trip at Esopus Meadows Environmental Center (EMEC). The field trip is learning station based. Students engage in different activities including fish retrieval and identification, plankton and macro-invertebrate study, and beach exploration. The Tideline Discovery Program’s flexible station format can be rearranged to meet your needs. We also offer other elective activities to augment a specific course of study. These include water quality, mechanical advantage, orienteering, poetry, and lighthouse architecture. The field trips are |
