Clearwater Gathering to Unveil New Leadership Center

Don’t Miss Sept. 28 Annual Gathering in Beacon Featuring U.S. Rep. John Hall, City of Beacon Mayor

Hudson River Sloop Clearwater’s Annual Gathering on Sunday, Sept. 28 will mark new milestones for our favorite environmental advocacy and educational organization; it will feature Clearwater’s planned new headquarters at Beacon’s University Settlement Camp and the launch of the nonprofit’s new Center for Environmental Justice and Leadership.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour Clearwater’s new home and share our vision for the new Center, a key part of Clearwater’s plan to create the next generation of environmental leaders.

Keynote speakers Congressman John Hall and Beacon Mayor Steve Gold, will each describe the opportunity to build on the region’s rich environmental resources to develop “Green Cities” in the Hudson Valley.

The Annual Gathering is a day-long series of activities featuring music, food, and family-friendly activities.  Parents are encouraged to bring their children.  The meeting, which is open to Clearwater’s membership and the public, also serves to “chart the course” for the nonprofit’s activities in the next year, with board elections, presentations and discussions held at various points throughout the day.

Shuttle transportation will be provided from the Beacon Train Station for those arriving by train.  Pick up will be at the Beacon Sloop Club building and if it's delayed you can call the cell phone number on the door.
